Heinz-Erich Gödecke composes and performs.
Since 1991 Heinz-Erich Gödecke was on tour in Russia nearly 40 times and participated at Avantgarde-Jazz-Festivals there: in Volgograd, St. Petersburg, Archangelsk, Moscow, Smolensk, Vologda, Ekaterinburg, Cheljabinsk, Puschkin, Kyzil, Krasnojarsk, Tomsk, Nowosibirsk, Jaroslawl, Urfa, Altai-Region as well as in Vilnius, Kaunas, Erivan, Göteborg, Beijing and Armenia and Mountaineous Karabakh.
Heinz-Erich Gödecke and Hans Schüttler perform together as Duo Allophonics.
He performed beside others with Vladimir Tarasov, Peter Brötzmann, Conny Bauer, Barry Guy, Cecil Taylor, Anthony Braxton, Peter Kowald, Louis Moholo, William Parker and Willi Kellers.
He gave performances together with Tadashi Endo (Butho-Dance) and worked at theatre-projects in Equador.
He worked with Iris Disse in numerous projects of Acoustic Art and radio plays at NDR, SFB, RBB.
He writes music for films.
He is member of the Trio Pyrit with Alexander Suslin and Waldemar Gudi and he plays New Music.
Together with Christophe Schweizer he founded the ensemble Eisenrot
Since 2014, HE Gödecke and Willi Kellers are the Duo Kellers-Gödecke. They toured in Russia in autum 2014, in Moscow, Jaroslavl and St. Petersburg.

Eisenrot – the CD
2007 the CD Eisenrot was released by Blue Pearls, distributed by Indigo. The cover of each CD is created and handpainted by HE Gödecke and numbered.

Heinz-Erich Gödecke wrote essays ont he armenian composer Avet Terterian and his influence on the Western Moderne.
This articles were published in the Armenisch-Deutschen Korrespondenz, the magazine of the German-Armenian Society as well as in the publication Tradition und Moderne, the content of the symposium at the 75th birthday of the composer in Erivan, Armena, 2004.

The experiment worked, beside strong rain and many doubts.
The german magazine Der Spiegel published an article on the festival. Hans Hielscher wrote about the revival of Dixieland Jazz in Contemporary Jazz: „Bei Onkel Pö spielt eine Rentnerband“.
